Reclaimed Wood Plank Parquet Flooring

Plank parquet made from reclaimed oak and chestnut. You choose the width; the lengths are mixed, as they come from the reclaimed timber. That mix of lengths gives the floor the natural, irregular rhythm of an old house. Every floor is made to order.

Widths and lengths

• Solid 2 cm: 6, 8 or 10 cm wide, in mixed lengths of 30 to 80 cm.
• Engineered 1.5 cm and 2 cm: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 or 22 cm wide, in mixed lengths of 60 to 220 cm.

All boards in your order have the width you choose. Lengths are not selectable: they follow the reclaimed timber, and you receive a mix across the range.

Construction

• Solid 2 cm: one piece of reclaimed wood, top to bottom, with tongue and groove. Not suitable for underfloor heating.
• Engineered 1.5 cm: a 4 mm reclaimed wood top layer on an 11 mm plywood base, tongue and groove. Suitable for underfloor heating. The thinner build helps where door and threshold heights are tight.
• Engineered 2 cm: a 5 mm reclaimed wood top layer on a 15 mm plywood base, tongue and groove. Suitable for underfloor heating. The thicker wear layer can be sanded more times over the life of the floor.

Surface and finish

• Original patina, raw: the old weathered face of the timber, kept as it is. Cracks are repaired and small holes filled. Unfinished: oil or varnish it after laying.
• Original patina, varnished: the same weathered face, sealed with a clear matt varnish in our workshop. Ready to use once laid.
• Sanded, raw: sanded and brushed back to the clean grain beneath the patina, holes filled. Lighter and smoother. Unfinished: oil or varnish it after laying. Our lowest price.
• Sanded, oiled: sanded and brushed, then oiled in our workshop. Ready to use once laid.

The wood

Reclaimed oak or reclaimed chestnut, salvaged from old barns, farmhouses and log houses, mainly in Croatia. The timber has dried naturally for decades, so it is more stable than newly felled wood. Saw marks, nail holes, knots, small cracks and colour shifts are part of the material, so no two floors are the same. Oak and chestnut cost the same: oak is warmer and more varied in tone, chestnut a little lighter and more even. Certified FSC® Recycled 100% and PEFC.

How to order

• Prices are per m² and include VAT. The quantity you order is your floor area in m².
• Minimum order 20 m². Online orders up to 150 m²; for larger floors, ask us for a quote.
• Add about 10% for cutting and waste. The boards are cut to fit at the walls, so you always need a little more than the floor area.
• Not sure which surface or wood to choose? Order a sample for £15 and see it in your own room first.

Production and delivery

• Made to order in our workshop in 6 to 8 weeks.
• Delivered on pallets to UK addresses. The boards weigh about 12 kg per m², and freight is charged by weight at checkout (roughly £20 per m², VAT included).

Installation and care

• Glue-down installation with a professional parquet adhesive, on concrete, screed, old tiles or an existing floor that is flat, dry and sound.
• Moisture content 10% ± 2%. Order shortly before laying and keep the boards in a dry, heated room until your fitter is ready.
• Raw boards are oiled or varnished after laying, which also seals the joints.
• Clean with a vacuum and a well-wrung mop. Re-oil oiled floors when the surface starts to look dry.
